The Cabin
I was at my cabin for the week. It was the middle of fall and it was an annual tradition to go out to my cabin in the woods, enjoy the fall colours of northern Ontario, and get some writing done. It was the only place where I felt at peace, where I could focus without all the distractions around me. Just me, my iphone, and my ipad. Signal was good enough to get a couple of bars if I needed help, but for the most part I could just enjoy the peace and quiet. Stepping outside of the cabin, I looked around at the lake surrounding me. I used a canoe to get to the island, and land wasn’t really that far away.
